Heritage Home Co. Brings New Gift Shop Experience to Olde Towne

Olde Towne Bellevue has a new addition that feels right at home. Heritage Home Co., a boutique and gift shop opened by Sarah and Matthew Milligan, blends faith, family, and community spirit in a cozy new space connected to their existing business, Dip Cravers.

For Sarah, the vision for Heritage Home Co. grew out of her love for hospitality and creating spaces where people feel welcome. “It’s always been a longtime goal of mine to open a boutique and gift shop,” she said. “Olde Towne felt like the perfect place to bring that to life. We wanted to create something unique that reflects home, faith, and thoughtful giving.”

The Milligans, who have lived in Bellevue for ten years and recently bought a home in the community, saw an opportunity to add something special to the neighborhood. With Heritage Home Co., they’ve created a space that feels more like visiting a friend’s living room than stepping into a store.

Heritage Home Co. shares its heart with Dip Cravers, the family’s first venture—a mercantile and creamery known for its homemade dips and community partnerships. While Dip Cravers satisfies the sweet tooth, Heritage Home Co. focuses on meaningful gifts, home décor, and small-batch products.

“Our heart for community hasn’t changed,” Sarah said. “Heritage Home Co. continues to support local and regional makers who pour their passion into what they create. Many of our vendors are small businesses just like us.”

That emphasis on connection and collaboration extends beyond the shelves. The Milligans plan to host workshops, seasonal gatherings, and local maker events, turning the store into a hub for creativity and community.

Walking into Heritage Home Co. feels like stepping into a thoughtfully designed home. Customers can browse handmade candles, cozy blankets, and décor pieces with messages of hope and joy. There’s also a children’s section, a skincare and makeup counter featuring clean, European-made products, and a popular line of fragrances described as “cozy and timeless.”

“It’s warm, inviting, and personal,” Sarah said. “From the gift to the handmade card to the wrapping, we want to be your one-stop shop.”

The store’s early favorites have included gifts for children, unique home accents, and locally made products customers can’t find anywhere else in town.

Since opening, the Milligans say the response from the community has been heartwarming. “The best moments are when customers come in and say, ‘This is exactly what Bellevue needed,’” Sarah said. “That reminds us we’re doing something that matters to people.”

Olde Towne Bellevue, she added, is full of potential. “There’s so much here worth driving for—great restaurants, shops, a coffee spot, and an ice cream shop. We love helping people discover all of it.”

While business has started slower than expected, the couple sees it as part of the journey. “It’s taught us that growth takes time,” Sarah said. “We’re here for the long haul.”

The Milligans’ family plays an active role in both businesses—Sarah’s mother, their kids, and daughter-in-law all pitch in to keep things running. “It’s straight-up controlled chaos,” Sarah laughed. “Homework happens at the store sometimes, and we all have those ‘tag, you’re it!’ moments. But we wouldn’t trade it for anything.”

As the holidays approach, Heritage Home Co. plans to launch new collections and seasonal events, giving shoppers a reason to stop by often. “Every time you visit, you’ll find something new and inspiring,” Sarah said.

Beyond the shelves and seasonal décor, the Milligans see both Heritage Home Co. and Dip Cravers as places for people to connect. “We’re always asking what we can add to Bellevue that isn’t already here,” Sarah said. “Whether it’s a meal, a gift, or a sweet treat, we hope everyone leaves feeling connected, inspired, and a little more at home.”

Dip Cravers continues to offer its popular dips, ice cream, and catering—now even hosting private gatherings and parties with advance notice. With both ventures thriving side by side, the Milligans are helping shape Olde Towne Bellevue into a destination that celebrates creativity, family, and community spirit.
