Avery Rents Marks More Than 60 Years as a Bellevue Mainstay

BELLEVUE – For more than six decades, Avery Rents has been a familiar name in Bellevue, providing everything from heavy-duty tools to elegant party rentals for generations of local families and businesses.

Founded on June 19, 1962, by Erle Faust Sr., the company began in a building originally designed to be a barber and beauty shop. The plan changed when Faust’s former employer, Clay White, suggested the space would make an ideal rental store. With no competition in Bellevue at the time, Faust took the leap—and the idea stuck.

The store, still located at 418 Galvin Rd N, quickly became a cornerstone of the community. Over the decades, Avery Rents has remained in the Faust family and is now proudly operated by the founder’s grandson and his wife. The business is recognized today as a third-generation, locally owned company that has served tens of thousands of Bellevue and Omaha-area customers.

In its early years, Avery Rents offered everything from televisions and rollaway beds to exercise equipment and concrete supplies. As the community grew, so did the business. Today, its rental catalog includes a wide selection of party and event equipment—tents, tables, chairs, bars, drink dispensers, dinnerware, flatware, linens—and a full lineup of construction and lawn equipment, such as aerators, tillers, skid loaders, excavators, post-hole diggers, log splitters, stump grinders, trailers, dump trailers, concrete buggies, trenchers, and power rakes.

The company also provides propane tank refills for individuals and food trucks, along with delivery, setup, and takedown services for all rentals. For more than 20 years, Avery Rents has served as the tent provider for Omaha’s largest music festivals and local events, including Bellevue Rocks! — quietly supporting the region’s celebrations behind the scenes.

Like many small businesses, Avery Rents has faced challenges in finding skilled employees, but its long-term success is built on a simple formula: hard work, reliability, and personal service. The owners say they’ve been part of Bellevue’s growth for more than 60 years and that their customers feel like family.
