Offutt Enlisted Spouses Club Prepares for 32nd Annual Winter Wonderland

The holiday season is supposed to be the most wonderful time of the year. But for many in the Offutt Air Force Base community, the holidays are a reminder of hardships, like separation from loved ones. That’s why 32 years ago, the Offutt Enlisted Spouses Club began hosting Winter Wonderland, a festive evening that helps military families feel at home in our community. The 32nd Annual OESC Winter Wonderland is Friday, Dec. 5, from 6-8 p.m. at the Offutt Event Center on base.

Open to all enlisted active duty and retired service members and family members who purchased tickets, the evening includes pizza and sweet treats and a family photo with Santa. Children can play games, do arts and crafts, have their faces painted and enjoy balloon animals. Best of all, each child 12 and under receives an age and gender appropriate gift valued at an estimated $15.

The event is expected to attract 700 attendees. 

Tickets are $1 because of generous donors in the Offutt community who cover the event’s costs. 

Tickets can be purchased with cash during regular business hours at the Rising View leasing office. If tickets remain as of Nov. 22, the last opportunity to purchase is at the OESC Holiday Bazaar from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Kroc Center.
