Lewis and Clark Middle School Hosted Geography Bee

Lewis and Clark Middle School hosted their Geography Bee earlier this week. Congratulations to 7th grader, Vaughn Spooner, on earning 1st place. Also, congratulations to Jonah Jolley, 2nd place and Jack Melter, 3rd place.

While National Geographic is no longer conducting its bee at the local/state/national level, Lewis & Clark wanted to continue this tradition. Each team at L&C narrowed down to two student candidates and the final 10 competed.

Bellevue East Culinary Arts

The Bellevue East Culinary Arts students have started an ongoing project to give back to the community through making bread for the Bellevue Food Pantry. They made their first donation this week.

It is their goal to donate “homemade” loaves of bread at least twice a month to help families in need.

If you are interested in supporting them through donations, they can use flour, yeast, sugar, olive oil and of course monetary donations.

Donations can be directed to: Bellevue East High School, 1401 High School Drive, Bellevue, NE 68005. Checks payable to Bellevue East High School (culinary arts in the memo)
