Bellevue Police Dismiss Officer Following Criminal Probe, Arrest Made

The following statement was issued today by the Bellevue Police Department:

The Bellevue Police Department was notified of potential criminal conduct involving former Bellevue Police Officer Ryan Agustin. Our agency then requested that the Nebraska State Patrol investigate possible criminal conduct. Agustin was immediately placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of both a criminal investigation conducted by the Nebraska State Patrol and an internal investigation. 

After thoroughly reviewing the current findings from the ongoing criminal investigation, Agustin’s employment with the City of Bellevue has been terminated. He has been taken into custody by the Nebraska State Patrol on criminal charges. Any further media inquiries should be directed to the Nebraska State Patrol.
