Library Study Rooms: A Quiet Space to Learn and Work

Looking for a quiet place to study, work, or meet with a tutor? The Bellevue Public Library’s study rooms provide a convenient space for individuals and small groups, with options to accommodate one or two people.

A Comfortable Space for Quiet Work

Each study room is furnished with your choice of a table or desk and includes two chairs and an electrical outlet. Free Wi-Fi is available, making the rooms useful for studying, completing assignments, working remotely, or tutoring.

Although study rooms are intended for quiet work and studying, please keep in mind that the rooms are not soundproof, so conversations and other activities should be kept at a considerate volume.

Who Can Use the Study Rooms?

Study rooms may be used or reserved by individuals 14 years of age or older. Anyone under 14 must have an adult present while using the room.

Snacks and Drinks

You may bring secure lidded drinks and light snacks into the study rooms. Please help keep the space clean for the next person by disposing of trash and leaving the room tidy.

Reservations and Walk-Ins

Study rooms can be reserved up to seven days in advance. To make a reservation, visit the library in person or call the library.

Reservations require the following information:

  • Your name
  • The number of people who will be using the room
  • A phone number where you can be reached

Walk-ins are welcome, subject to room availability.

How Long Can You Stay?

A study room reservation guarantees two hours of use. If the room is still available at the end of that period, you may be able to extend your time for up to two additional hours, for a maximum of four hours total.

When using a study room, please remember to sign in and sign out at the circulation desk.

Study Room Policies

For everyone’s comfort and to help ensure the rooms remain available to the community, please follow the library’s study room guidelines. The complete Study Room Policy is available inside each study room.

Whether you need a quiet place to prepare for an exam, work on a project, meet with a tutor, or simply get some focused work done, the library’s study rooms offer a convenient space to help you stay productive.
