Popular Mexican Restaurant Pollo Feliz Opening First Nebraska Location in Bellevue
A new Mexican restaurant is preparing to make its Nebraska debut in Bellevue. Pollo Feliz, a popular chain known for its charcoal-grilled chicken, plans to open March 13 at 513 Fort Crook Road North, formerly home to Golden Bowl.
The restaurant’s menu centers on marinated chicken cooked over open charcoal grills, a cooking style that has made the brand popular across Mexico.
Pollo Feliz traces its roots to 1975 in the Mexican state of Sinaloa. Since then, the company has grown to more than 1,000 locations throughout Mexico. While the chain is well established there, it is still relatively new in the United States, where only a handful of locations currently operate.
