Edgar W. Brewer, Jr. “Bill”  MSgt USAF (Ret)

January 5, 1940 – July 24, 2025 – Age 85

Ed passed away peacefully surrounded by family in his Bellevue home on July 24, 2025.  A loving family provider and adoring husband. He enjoyed his private, quiet life being a skilled craftsman, outdoor sportsman, animal lover, computer technician and avid reader. He experienced the joys of traveling by himself, and with this family, nationwide and internationally. Serving 26 years in the Air Force, retiring as a Master Sergeant. After retirement he became an Electronic Technician for the Omaha Post Office.

While stationed in Seoul, South Korea, he met his wife, Sun Ki. In 1980, they moved to Bellevue, Nebraska where they attended church, made friends, and enjoyed raising their family together.

Preceded in death by his parents Edgar W. Brewer Sr, Mary (Harty) and sister, Elsie Wells.

Survived by his wife, Sun, of nearly 50 years and children Lenda Brewer, Daniel Brewer, Rachel Witmer (former Daughter-in-law), Edgar W. Brewer III, Pam Hanes and Tealy Howard.   Grandchildren Casey Brewer, Ashley Cardona, Melody Vasquez Diaz (Jeffrey), Bobbie Brewer and James Brewer, including several great-grandchildren. Along with his sister Kathleen Lechner (Herman), Larry Brewer (Sandy), with numerous nieces and nephews.

He will be remembered fondly by his Missouri family as Uncle Bill. Born in Springfield, Missouri and military honored near Springfield, Nebraska at the Omaha National Cemetery.

A memorial church service was held in 2025, along with additional dedication wishes. His final resting place provides him views of the great outdoors, close to his family.

Graveside Service:  Friday, July 24, 2026, 12:30 p.m., Omaha National Cemetery, 14250 Schram Road, Omaha, Nebraska.
