Community Launches Fundraiser to Support Stella’s Bar and Grill Following Fire

Bellevue, NE – Following last week’s fire at Stella’s Bar and Grill, members of the Bellevue community have come together to launch a fundraiser in support of the beloved local establishment.

In the days after the fire, several residents reached out asking how they could help and whether a fundraiser was being organized. In response, community members have officially established the “Stella’s Fundraiser” to assist during the recovery process.

This effort is entirely community-driven and not organized by Stella’s ownership. While Stella’s does carry insurance, coverage does not fully account for all expenses associated with recovery. Insurance deductibles, portions of staff salaries, and certain items that may not be approved by adjusters can create financial gaps during this time.

“It is times like these that our community shines,” said Diane Bruce of the Bellevue Chamber. “Whether it’s a tornado, flood, or a long-time business that has supported the community for 90 years, Bellevue steps up and helps one another.”

Mayor Rusty Hike also expressed his support for the effort.

“This fundraiser is a reflection of the strength and compassion that define Bellevue. With the support of this community, I have no doubt Stella’s will come back stronger than ever,” said Mayor Hike.

An account has been established at First Interstate Bank under the name “Stella’s Fundraiser.”  The community can drop off money directly to the bank.

Donations can also be made via Venmo under “@stellasfundraiser”

All funds raised will go directly toward helping Stella’s bridge financial gaps during the rebuilding and recovery period.

The fundraiser will run for approximately one month, with the goal of easing immediate financial pressures while the insurance process moves forward.

For generations, Stella’s has been more than just a restaurant — it has been a gathering place, a supporter of community events, and a staple in Bellevue’s history. Now, the community has an opportunity to give back.
