Carey and Brian Hamilton to Receive Midlands Community Foundation’s 2023 Reflection Award

Dec. 5, 2023 – Midlands Community Foundation (MCF) is pleased to announce that Carey and Brian Hamilton will receive the Reflection Award at the organization’s 2024 Reflection Ball on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at the Embassy Suites in LaVista. Each year MCF honors an individual or individuals who have contributed significantly to Sarpy and/or Cass counties and the mission of the Foundation with its Reflection Award.

Brian graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln.  He serves on the board of the Nebraska New Car and Truck Dealers Association and on the Offutt Air Force Base Advisory Council. Brian is the past Treasurer of the National Automobile Dealers Association, the past Chair of Nebraska Chamber of Commerce, and was a University of Nebraska Foundation Board Member.

Carey graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Nebraska Omaha and attended Harvard Business School Executive Management Program. She serves on the boards of Bellevue University, the University of Nebraska Foundation, Assurity Life Insurance, the Nebraska Cultural Endowment, and was a founding member of Women Investing in Nebraska.

Brian and Carey are UNK chairs of the University of Nebraska Campaign. They live both in Omaha and Grand Island and own the Beardmore Chevrolet Subaru Hyundai dealerships and the Beardmore Allstate agency in Bellevue and the Midway Chevrolet Buick GMC and Midway Chrysler Dodge Ram Jeep dealerships in Kearney.   

They have been married fifty-two years and have two daughters, four grandchildren, and one great grandson.

Honorary Chairs for the event are Valerie and Ryan Downs. Ryan is President of Unison, a fintech company based in San Francisco and Omaha. He also owns a consulting business. Valerie is a physical therapist and owner of In Motion Physical Therapy, a private pay, concierge style physical therapy practice, and also is employed at Rehab Guru. “We are looking forward to working with Valerie and Ryan and the dedicated members of the Reflection Ball Committee to plan and carry out a successful event, enabling us to sustain our financial support of nonprofit organizations that offer valuable programs and services within Sarpy and Cass counties,” said Diane Knicky, Executive Director.
