A Personal Identification Number (PIN) plays an important role in keeping your library account safe. With a PIN, you can access a range of online resources at the Bellevue Public Library, such as our public computer lab, catalog, and digital leisure passes. You can also use self-checkout, which makes checking out library material convenient and secure, while reducing need for direct staff assistance.
Bellevue Public Library offers three self-checkout stations, one of which is located in the children’s area, which makes borrowing materials easy for families to borrow materials. With self-checkout, you can borrow up to 20 items at a time using your library card and PIN number.
In addition to checking out materials, the self-checkout stations allow you to review what you currently have checked out and renew eligible items on the spot. This gives you more control over your account while helping you manage your borrowed items quickly and independently.
If the self-checkout station alerts you that you have available items on hold or outstanding fines, please stop by the front circulation counter for assistance. Also, keep in mind that audio-visual items must be unlocked by staff at the front desk by staff after checkout.
Bellevue Public Library staff is always happy to help if you have any questions or need support, whether you are using self-checkout or prefer personal assistance. If you would like to review or reset your PIN, you may do so at the circulation desk.
