Sarpy County is building a strategic plan to map out its priorities over the next three years. This October, we’re inviting residents to be part of the process and help shape what comes next for Sarpy County.
The strategic plan will help guide county operations and budget decisions to support growth and the county’s high quality of life.
“Sarpy residents love their community, and they have good ideas that can make our county an even better place to live,” Sarpy County Board Chair Don Kelly said. “We’re looking forward to hearing from the people we serve and to creating a plan that will move Sarpy forward with intention.”
What do you think the county should look like three years from now? What does the county do well and what could it do better? What should the county prioritize to improve your quality of life? What could Sarpy County accomplish to serve an unmet need?
Offer your feedback during three public meetings the week of October 13 and/or online via Sarpy.gov through the month of October.
- Tuesday, October 13, at 4 p.m. Bellevue University, John B. Muller Administrative Services Building Lower Level, 812 Bruin Blvd., Bellevue
- Wednesday, October 14, at 11 a.m. at Werner Park, 12356 Ballpark Way, Papillion
- Wednesday, October 14 at 5 p.m. at Tiburon Golf Clubhouse, 10302 S. 168th St., Omaha
The county is working with consultants at BerryDunn, a firm that specializes in strategic planning in local government. Their team will guide the conversations and aggregate feedback from residents, businesses, community organizations, developers, elected officials, and county leadership and staff. The plan will be finalized in early 2027 and will include benchmarks to track progress.
