The Bellevue Public Library will host its first-ever Quilt Retreat Aug. 28–30, offering quilting enthusiasts a full weekend of creativity, learning, and community connection. Registration for the free event opened July 13.
A quilt retreat is an opportunity for quilters to step away from daily distractions and spend dedicated time working on projects alongside others who share a passion for sewing and fabric arts. Participants can bring unfinished quilts, start new projects, exchange ideas, learn new techniques, and enjoy the social atmosphere of quilting together.
The retreat will begin at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 28, and continue through 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 30, with activities pausing overnight at 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday evenings and resuming at 7 a.m. each morning.
Throughout the weekend, participants will have access to individual sewing space, demonstrations, hands-on activities, raffles, and giveaways. Scheduled presentations will include demonstrations on AccuCut GO! cutting systems, laser fabric cutting, and sublimation fabric techniques. Participants will also receive goodie bags and have opportunities to socialize and collaborate with fellow quilters.
Meals, snacks, and beverages will be provided at no cost throughout the weekend.
The event is designed for both experienced quilters and those looking to build new skills in a welcoming and creative environment.
