“My biggest work challenge this last year was having to rent two places to work out of. My salon is located inside Harmony Court – an independent living facility, which has been the dream job I didn’t know I wanted, until Covid. Then I couldn’t have any of my outside clientele come in. So I was renting a chair at another shop and used one of the stylist chairs when one of them was off. So I was working later hours and Sundays just to try to keep my clientele.”

“The biggest challenge for us last year was the prices and shortages of supplies. In a short time, prices of our supplies doubled or even tripled of what it used to be. Along with that was the shortage of supplies. There were weeks when we could not order any shallots or boba. We had to go to many different stores just to buy whatever they had left on the shelves. The decision to increase our menu prices was tough to make because we wanted to keep our prices affordable for everyone. Our customers have been very understanding thankfully.”

“The biggest challenge (and also the biggest blessing) for Remedy Health in 2021 was expansion and growth. In 2021 we added 6 providers; a family MD, a family NP, a diabetes NP, and 3 mental health therapists. Along with those outstanding providers, we added 12 new full and part-time staff members. We feel absolutely, beyond blessed with the local support we’ve received but admittedly had to ask for forgiveness multiple times throughout the year as we were challenged to find different, more efficient ways of doing a lot of things and had an ongoing struggle with organization bringing on 1.5 new members to our team every month. Our patient visits have doubled in the last year and again, we are absolutely blessed to be able to walk alongside our local community as they find ways to improve on their health journey, one step at a time!”
