From the very beginning, the bakery/cookie franchise known as Crumbl hit the ground running. The first Crumbl location opened in Utah in 2017. Over the past 6+ years, they have quickly expanded to more than 850 locations in all fifty states, making Crumbl the fastest-growing cookie franchise in history.
Next month, Crumbl will open its newest cookie shop in Bellevue.
Kelsey Miller is the owner-operator of the Bellevue Crumbl store. She shared a little about Crumbl and how it brought her from Utah to Nebraska. “I was born and raised in Utah, the Crumbl headquarters, so I knew all about Crumbl before it started expanding across the country. I love to bake and love desserts, so I’m always analyzing and trying things that are sweet,” Miller said. “My sister lived here in Nebraska for several years and loved everything about the area and the community. So when the opportunity presented itself to open a Crumbl in Bellevue, I knew it was too good to pass up, and we decided to move here.”
Miller said she decided that Bellevue would be a great location for the latest Crumbl, because of all that is going on in the community. “The Air Force base is close by; there are a lot of schools, stores, restaurants, and families, and the Bellevue Medical Center is close as well. It is a great location and I think the Bellevue community will really enjoy having a Crumbl close by.”
According to Miller, what sets Crumbl apart is its rotating menu concept and the quality of cookies. Every week Crumbl offers a chocolate chip cookie variant, but the other cookies change each Monday, with new recipes added or modified all the time. Many of Crumbl’s most unique cookie flavors are inspired by popular cakes, pies, and desserts – and all cookies are made fresh, from scratch, at the shop. While Crumbl offers traditional in-store purchases, customers can also place an order online for pickup or delivery. They also offer cookie catering for events and parties.
While Crumbl is mainly known for its cookies, they do offer a few other items that not as many people know about. “Crumbl has just started offering some limited-time non-cookie items. We offered the cinnamon square earlier this year as well as a tres leches cake,” Miller shared. “We also sell a card game called Cover your Cookies.”
Miller says that choosing just one favorite cookie is challenging due to the weekly rotating menu. “The semi-sweet chocolate chunk is one of my favorites, along with the brownie batter, chocolate raspberry truffle, chocolate covered strawberry, lemon blueberry muffin, raspberry cheesecake, old-fashioned doughnut, and our Cinnamon square, which was a limited-time offering earlier this year,” said Miller. See, there are too many to choose just one!”
Bellevue Crumbl’s grand opening is planned for Friday, April 5. The store will be open Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 8 a.m. to midnight.
