As we edge closer to the summer here are a couple of new projects you will see around Bellevue. At Thompson Park, located at 27th Avenue and Franklin Street, the Parks and Recreation Department is building new pickleball courts. Pickleball is becoming a very popular sport in the United States and we are joining the fun.
There will also be new playgrounds at both McCann Park and Faulkland Heights Park. McCann Park is located at Lila Avenue & Vernon Avenue, while Faulkland Heights Park is located at 8700 S. 48th Street.
If you have suggestions about Bellevue Parks, please click HERE to complete the Bellevue Parks Master Plan Survey. Bellevue Parks and Recreation’s mission is to continue enhancing Bellevue’s quality of life through recreational programs and welcoming parks. By completing this survey, you can help the Parks and Recreation Department achieve this mission. Thank you for participating in the survey!
We would also like to thank Bellevue East Football and Soccer programs for assisting us with Bellevue Recreation Spring Flag Football and Youth Soccer Leagues. The volunteer players get a chance to coach elementary school kids and help them learn the fundamentals of football and soccer while having fun themselves. It is great to see our student-athletes giving back to the community. If any college or high school student is interested in joining the City of Bellevue Park and Recreation Team, please click HERE to view our job opportunities.
