New Visions Homeless Services, one of the region’s leading non-profits working to eliminate homelessness, announced today that it is partnering with Bellevue University to offer tuition assistance benefits to its employees interested in continuing their education.
Through the partnership, tuition assistance will be provided to New Visions staff members and their families. This includes up to $5,250 per year for full and part-time employees; and $2,500 for immediate family members. Employees and their family members can choose from Bellevue University’s 50-plus bachelor’s degrees and nearly 30 master’s degrees.
“We are excited to partner with New Visions as they continue to invest in their workforce and in their employees’ future,” said Jim Nekuda, Bellevue University’s Vice President of Strategic Partnerships.
Each year, New Visions and its staff members provide more than 36,000 nights of shelter to 800-plus individuals and serve tens of thousands of meals to nearly 2,500 people. In addition to the 24-hour shelters it runs, New Visions conducts food programs, permanent housing programs, and veterans programs.
