Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common questions about submitting, pricing, scheduling, paying for, and locating legal notices published by the Bellevue Times.

What types of legal notices does the Bellevue Times publish?

The Bellevue Times accepts qualifying legal and public notices, including estate notices, notices to creditors, business formation notices, government notices, public hearing notices, bid solicitations, name-change notices, ordinances, and other notices requiring publication.

How do I submit a legal notice?

Use the Bellevue Times online Legal Notice Submission form. You will be asked to provide your contact information, notice type, notice title, notice text, requested publication date, publication requirements, and payment preference.

When does the Bellevue Times publish legal notices?

The Bellevue Times publishes legal notices each Saturday.

What is the submission deadline?

Notices should generally be submitted by 12:00 noon on Friday to be considered for the upcoming Saturday publication. Requested publication dates remain subject to editorial review and confirmation.

Can I request more than one publication?

Yes. The submission form allows you to specify the number of required publications. Please enter the publication requirement stated in your legal documents or provided by your attorney, court, government agency, or other requesting party.

How is the publication cost calculated?

The online form calculates an estimated publication charge based on the notice text, billable line count, and number of requested publications. The estimate is displayed before submission.

The final charge may be adjusted if the submitted notice requires editing, formatting changes, additional publications, or other corrections before publication.

Where can I review current rates?

Current legal-notice pricing information is available on the Bellevue Times Legal Notice Rates page.

Can I pay by credit card?

Yes. Secure credit-card payment is available through Stripe. Select Pay by Credit Card on the submission form to continue to the secure payment page.

Can I request an invoice instead?

Yes. Select Request an Invoice on the submission form. The Bellevue Times will review the submission and provide billing information as appropriate.

Does submitting a notice guarantee the requested publication date?

No. A requested date is not final until the Bellevue Times reviews and confirms the notice. Publication may depend on submission timing, payment status, completeness, legal requirements, and available production time.

Will the Bellevue Times edit my legal notice?

The Bellevue Times may make limited formatting adjustments for publication. Submitters remain responsible for providing accurate, complete, and legally sufficient notice text. The Bellevue Times does not provide legal advice or determine whether a notice satisfies a particular legal requirement.

Can I search published legal notices online?

Yes. Published notices are available through the Bellevue Times searchable Legal Notices page. You may search by keyword and filter available notices by notice type or publication year.

Why does a search sometimes return no results?

A notice may not yet have been published, may use different wording than the search term entered, or may not fall within the selected notice type or year. Try using a broader keyword or removing one of the filters.

Can I request an affidavit of publication?

Affidavits of publication may be available after all required publication dates have been completed. Contact the Bellevue Times for availability, processing details, and delivery options.

What should I do if I discover an error after submitting?

Contact the Bellevue Times as soon as possible. Whether a correction can be made before publication depends on when the notice is received and where it is in the production process. Additional charges or republication may be required in some situations.

Can I submit a notice on behalf of someone else?

Yes, provided you are authorized to submit the notice and supply accurate contact, billing, publication, and notice information.
