The Greater Bellevue Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce that it received notice from the IRS that we have received our Tax-Exempt status reinstatement as a 501(c)(6) organization. The effective date of exemption is January 15, 2011, which was the date of revocation.

This designation allows the Chamber to continue serving its members and the community without the burden of paying federal income taxes. Acting President/CEO Diane Bruce said, “We are excited to have received this designation, as this will allow us to focus even more of our resources on supporting our members and promoting economic growth in the Bellevue area.”

Bruce started with the Chamber on a part-time basis the first of March with the goal of making sure the Chamber keeps moving forward and that our current members get the networking/educational opportunities they need to be successful. Bruce said “We had members step up in big ways because they know the value of the Bellevue/Offutt community and wanted to make sure we could keep moving in the right direction for when we received the news from the IRS”

The Chamber thanks its members, volunteers, and community partners for their continued support and commitment to the organization.
