Explore Local Attractions with Bellevue Public Library’s Digital Passes

Bellevue Times | Explore Local Attractions with Bellevue Public Library’s Digital Passes | March 12, 2025

From February 2025, the Bellevue Public Library is again offering digital leisure passes to local museums and other attractions with no admission cost. This service allows library cardholders at least 18 years of age and their families to access cultural and educational experiences throughout the area.

Bellevue Public Library Patrons can reserve a leisure pass by visiting https://bellevuelibrary.libcal.com/ or searching “Leisure Pass” in our online catalog at https://belvu.ent.sirsi.net/client/en_US/default. Patrons can use their 14-digit library barcode and PIN to select a specific organization and date. Library cardholders will then receive a confirmation email with a digital pass attached. Passes can be reserved up to 30 days in advance. Patrons can call the library’s mainline 402-293-3157 during business hours to have staff assistance in reserving a pass. Unused passes that are not cancelled at least one day ahead of the reserved date are still counted and must be cancelled over the phone with staff.

Leisure Passes have varied terms of use:

  • Durham Museum passes admit two adults and up to five children. This pass may be used twice per year, no more than once per month.
  • Fontenelle Forest passes admit two adults and up to five children. (TreeRush Adventure access has an additional fee.) One checkout per week.
  • Kiewit Luminarium passes are valid for 3 Adults and up to 10 children in household. Four checkouts per year, once per month. Daytime admission only.
  • Lauritzen Garden passes admit two adults and all household children (aged 17 and under). One checkout per year.

  • Gifford Farm passes will admit 2 adults and four children to the Gifford Farm Education Center on Mondays from 10:00 AM until Noon only. (This is a seasonal pass that will have specific dates available between March and Oct 2025.)
  • City of Bellevue Pool passes admit 2 adults and 3 children to Cascio, Dowding and Gilbert pools. These passes are available during summer months annually (approximately June through the first week of August).

In addition to our digital Leisure Pass collection, the Bellevue Public Library will have 150 physical passes for a one-time visit to the Omaha Henry Doorly Zoo & Aquarium. Passes will be available on Tuesday, April 1st, 2025, at 9:00AM. Only one pass per address/household will be allowed. Each pass will admit two adults and six children for one daytime admission within a 60-day period. To redeem a pass, patrons must be valid Bellevue Library cardholders in good standing to be eligible; only adults will be allowed to redeem a pass. Persons using the passes will need to present their pass and a valid library card to be admitted to the Zoo. The passes are being made possible through the Zoo & Public Library Program of Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo & Aquarium. (No passes will be available during the months of May through September.)

The Bellevue Public Library extends its gratitude to the Friends of the Bellevue Public Library, who have been instrumental in purchasing memberships to these local organizations to make the passes available to the public.
