The Bellevue Public Schools Board of Education and Dr. Jeff Rippe would like to invite the public to the grand opening, dedication, and open house for the Frank Kumor Career Center.  Mr. Frank Kumor was a trustee on the Bellevue Board of Education and Bellevue Public Schools Foundation. His commitment to our students, schools, and community was legendary, and his service to our community knew no bounds. The open house will be held on Thursday, October 10, 2024, from 4:30-6:30 pm, with the dedication ceremony starting at 5:00 pm. The BPS Career Center is located at 2812 Arboretum Drive in Bellevue.

About the Frank Kumor Career Center

Bellevue Public Schools offers various career and professional studies programs at the Frank Kumor Career Center, named after long-time Board Member and supporter of the district, Frank Kumor. These programs enhance high school students’ education with real-life and relevant learning experiences in collaboration with local businesses, non-profits, and industry professionals.

Students will engage in high-level, project-based, and on the job experiences and internships to demonstrate their learning in the classroom. Students will gain valuable professional skills and relationships through programs that connect to the Nebraska career clusters and local industries and institutes of higher education.

The center currently offers the following programs: Automotive Maintenance, Aviation, Certified Nursing Assistant, and Education.

The center is located on the BPS Lifelong Learning Center Campus at 2812 Arboretum Drive.
