Bellevue, Nebraska – On Friday, May 24, 2024, at 9:00 a.m. Bellevue Public Schools and Bellevue West High School will host a groundbreaking ceremony for the new Bellevue West Auditorium. The groundbreaking launches the final phase of the Bellevue Public Schools Bond Initiative that was supported by the community in 2016. The construction will begin immediately following the class of 2024 graduation ceremony, with the project anticipated for completion by fall of 2025.
Bellevue West was built in the mid-1970s, and the school opened in 1977. The construction of this highly anticipated auditorium will result in a state of the art facility for the 1,500 students in grades nine through twelve and the staff of Bellevue West High School.
We are proud of all of our fine arts programs and this new auditorium will now provide both high schools with comparable facilities. This will allow all of our students to perform and compete at a higher level that will improve and grow our programs.” said Dr. Jeff Rippe, Superintendent.
