Bellevue Public Library Adds New Drive-Thru Services
by Clair LaCosse, Bellevue Library Circulation Manager
The Bellevue Public Library’s new location at 2206 Longo Drive has two drive-thru services. The drive-thru materials return box allows patrons to drop off books, DVDs, and other materials without leaving their vehicles and under the protection of the overhang. Materials can be returned during or after business hours.
Library patrons will also be able to pick up holds by appointment. This feature will better help serve the needs of the community, especially parents with young children, individuals with mobility issues, or patrons with limited time.
Patrons can reserve materials with their library card’s barcode and 4-digit PIN via the library’s online catalog at bellevuelibrary.org website, the Bellevue Public Library app, or by phone. Once holds become available, a patron can call the library’s main line during business hours to arrange a pickup time at least one hour in advance of the appointment time desired. Library staff will check out and bag up to twenty
items. A patron should show a photo ID or have their library card to retrieve their order. There will be a
20-minute window of time allotted for each appointment. This service will be available: Sunday 1-4 PM;
Monday-Thursday 9 AM-7PM; Friday 9 AM-5 PM; and Saturday 9 AM-4PM.
If you have any questions or concerns, staff can still be reached at 402-293-3157 from Monday through
Friday from 9:00am-5:00pm.
