Bellevue Police Provide Update on January Homicide

On Monday, January 20, 2025, at approximately 7:56 p.m., officers responded to a residence in the 7500 block of South 50th Street regarding a twenty-one (21) year old male who had sustained a gunshot wound. Officers and Bellevue Fire personnel performed lifesaving measures, as the victim was in critical condition. The victim was transported by rescue squad to UNMC, where he later died from his injuries. The victim has been identified as twenty-one (21) year old Jaydon Palma of Bellevue.

Update:

After further investigation, Bellevue Police Detectives have arrested eighteen-year-old (18), Oscar Salazar, of Bellevue. Salazar was arrested for First Degree Murder, Use of a Firearm to Commit a Felony, Unlawful Discharge of a Firearm, and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Prohibited Juvenile Offender, all stemming from the above incident. Salazar was already in custody, as he was being held at the Sarpy County Jail on other charges.

Also arrested in connection with the above-mentioned homicide was eighteen-year-old (18) Alondra Romero-Figueroa of Bellevue. Romero-Figueroa was located and taken into custody without incident. She is being lodged at the Sarpy County Jail for two (2) counts of Accessory to a Felony – First Degree Murder.

The Bellevue Police stated they will not be releasing any more information at this time.
