The Bellevue Public Library provides a variety of materials to our community to promote a life-long love of learning and access to information, and our Leisure Pass collection offers access to local culture, entertainment, and education. Leisure Passes allow free admission to many wonderful organizations in the metro area for you and your family to enjoy. Passes can be checked out to Bellevue Library cardholders 18 years or older for 5 days on a first-come, first-served basis. Availability of each pass is listed on our library’s online catalog, or you can call the library’s main line at (402) 293-3157. Leisure Passes have varied terms of use:
Durham Museum passes admit two adults and up to five children. This pass may be used once per household every 180 days. (Up to twice a year.)
Fontenelle Forest passes are day specific and admit two adults and up to five children. (TreeRush Adventure access has an additional fee.)
Lauritzen Garden Passes admit two adults and any household children (aged 17 and under).
The Omaha’s Children Museum Pass admits two adults and up to six children (under 17 years of age).
Heartland Bike Share Passes allow a patron to borrow an e-bicycle at any of the metro-area biking stations for up to 1 hour during a 24-hour period. Users must be 18 years or older, and you must sign a user agreement for each use.
Gifford Farm Passes will admit 2 adults and four children to the Gifford Farm Education Center on Mondays from 10:00 AM until Noon only. (This is a seasonal pass available from June until October.)
City of Bellevue Pool Passes admit 2 adults and 3 children to Cascio, Dowding and Gilbert pools. These passes are available during summer months annually (approximately June through the first week of August).
In addition to our Leisure Pass collection, the Bellevue Public Library has had 150 passes for a one-time visit to the Omaha Henry Doorly Zoo & Aquarium. Passes will be available starting Oct. 1, 2023, and Dec. 1, 2023, Feb. 1, 2024, and April 1, 2024. Only one pass per address/household will be allowed. Each pass will admit two adults and six children for one daytime admission within a 60-day period. To redeem a pass, patrons must be valid Bellevue Library cardholders in good standing to be eligible; only adults will be allowed to redeem a pass. Persons using the passes will need to present their pass and a valid library card to be admitted to the Zoo. The passes are being made possible through the Zoo & Public Library Program of Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo & Aquarium. (No passes will be available during the months of June through September.)
The library wants to extend its appreciation to the Friends of the Bellevue Public Library who have been instrumental in purchasing memberships to these groups to make the passes available to the public.
