Bellevue Library Foundation Participates in Matching Program

The Bellevue Library Foundation (BLF) is participating in the 2024 Midlands Community Foundation
(MCF) Matching Charitable Program. This is the major fund-raising activity for the Library Foundation
which supports the library’s programs and services that benefit all ages.

Under the Match Program, MCF will provide matching funds for NEW contributions made to existing and
newly created charitable funds up to $5,000 per individual donor, and subject to a maximum of
$100,000 for all MCF funds. If more than $100,000 is contributed, the matching dollars will be pro-rated
based on the total contributions made to all funds.

This campaign started on Giving Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2024, and ends on Monday, Jan. 6, 2025. (Donations
must be dated and received between these dates to qualify for the Match Program.)

Funds raised for the Bellevue Library Foundation will help support the library in adding services,
programs, and technologies to its new space at 2206 Longo Drive. In the past year the Bellevue Library
Foundation played a significant role in helping the library grow at its new location thanks to grants to
the Foundation and generous community donations. The Foundation helped to fund new furniture, a
new aquarium, machines for the makerspace, additional shelving for the Children’s and Adult areas, and
Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology librarywide and new technologies in the Children’s
area, among other items.

Donations for the 2024 Matching Program can be made online, in-person, or by mail. Online donations
