Bellevue, Neb. – The Bellevue Chamber of Commerce will host Nebraska’s Official Veterans Day Parade
on Saturday, November 11, 2023, in Olde Towne Bellevue at 10:00 a.m.
The Veterans Day Parade is a long-standing tradition for Bellevue. It celebrates and honors past and
current veterans that have dedicated their lives to defending our freedom. Diane Bruce, Bellevue

military community our appreciation for them and all they’ve sacrificed for our country.”
The parade kicks off with a Dignitary Breakfast at 7:30 a.m. This event is invitation-only and honors the
parade’s Grand Marshal, Colonel Joe Spivey (USAF retired). Colonel Spivey grew up in an Air Force family and served 26 years in a variety of operational and leadership positions, several of which included time spent with the 55th Wing. His final tour was at the Pentagon, serving on the Office of the Secretary of Defense staff during and after the 9/11 attack. Since 2017, Colonel Spivey has served as President of the 55th Wing Association which is dedicated to “Honoring those who served and serving those who do”.
Colonel Spivey is now a co-owner of Calvert Systems Engineering, a Service-disabled Veteran-owned

Calvert exponentially into a corporation of nearly 140 employees in ten different states. Colonel Spivey
and his wife, Arlene, have two grown children, Summer and Daniel, and four grandchildren.
The parade will begin at 10:00 a.m. with the National Anthem and a flyover after which it will move
