October 29, 2021 – Alexis Perea, Director of Undergraduate and Guild Admissions at Bellevue University, has been selected as a 2021 recipient of the Midlands Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 Awards. The awards honor 40 Greater Omaha, Council Bluffs and Sarpy County entrepreneurs, executives and professionals under the age of 40.

In her position, Perea oversees the admissions process for Bellevue University’s partnership with Guild Education. Founded in 2015, Guild is a Denver-based firm that works with companies to manage their education assistance benefits. Bellevue University now enrolls Guild students from 17 companies, such as Disney, Walmart, Chipotle and more. She’s also an adjunct for the Master of Public Administration Program at Bellevue University. Previously, she worked as a Senior Graduate Admission Counselor.

Perea also serves as a Scholarship Reviewer, a Student Athletes Value Education Mentor, a Partnership for Kids High School mentor, a Community Engagement Volunteer and on the Wellness Committee at Bellevue University. She has a Master of Public Administration degree from Bellevue University and an undergraduate degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. 

Perea participated in the Bellevue Chamber of Commerce 2021 Leadership Program and currently serves on numerous committees, including the Master of Public Administration Advisory Board, the MindSet Leadership Program, and serves as the co-chair for Young Nonprofit Professionals Network of Greater Omaha Learn, Do, Give Committee. 

A special edition of Midlands Business Journal will be published Dec. 24 featuring profiles on all 40 winners. An award ceremony is scheduled for Feb. 4, 2022.
